Director - Composer
Kip Kaplan began his professional career as a performing singer/songwriter, which culminated in performing in the National Touring Company of "Hair" from 1974 to 1975. In 1979, he became the studio manager for Right Track Recording in New York. He subsequently created and operated Time Capsule Brokerage, an international audio production coordination company from 1981 to 1996. He chose to combine his years of experience in the theater, music, and post-production worlds, by founding Audioworks Producers Group in 1996.
Lona Benney Kaplan
Executive Vice-President - Account Services
Lona Benney Kaplan has been a media professional for her entire career. She learned the advertising industry at some of the top agencies in the U.S., located in NYC. Her advertising career culminated in her appointment as Director of Advertising for the prestigious Christie's Auction House, in NYC. After moving to Rockland County, NY, Lona became the Executive Director of the Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble, and Managing Director of Coupé Theatre Studio. She held those positions for more than 20 years. Though having always been a partner in Audioworks Producers Group since its' inception in 1996, Lona has recently joined the team in NYC to provide the highest possible level of client services.
Head Writer - Producer
David Wills began his voice acting career in 1998 with MTV Animation, where he provided celebrity impersonations for the program "MTV Celebrity Deathmatch". He has since lent his voice to numerous television and feature film projects, including "YuGiOh GX", "Viva Pinata", "GI Joe: Sigma Six" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". As a disc jockey, he has also hosted several music shows for SiriusXM radio, and has produced several pieces heard on NPR. Wills began writing for Audioworks in 2009 and became Head Writer the following year. He began directing sessions in 2012.
Senior Sound Designer
Roger Middenway has been passionate about sound post production since 2001 and has freelanced in various areas of sound production, and post production, for over 10 years. After completing a Master of Arts in Sound Design at the internationally acclaimed Australian Film, Television and Radio School in 2008, he decided to explore his opportunities in New York City. Roger has been with Audioworks Producers Group since 2009, bringing his creative mind, critical ear, and strong work ethic to the table, and striving to exceed client expectations.
Elysse Yulo is a Connecticut native now living in NYC. She graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a B.A. in Theatre Studies. Elysse has produced many projects for Audioworks and for various theatre companies. When Elysse is not producing she is writing and recording music or performing as a guitarist in various musical groups. Elysse has been a member of the Audioworks team since 2013.
Carolina Parra was born and raised in Colombia, where she received her bachelor's degree in Architecture. Carolina has lived in NYC since 2015. Her inclination for audiovisual arts led her to make a specialized MBA in Management and Event Communication in EFAP – Leading School of Communication - in Paris, where she also graduated from “Acting International” - School of acting for film and theater in 2014. In New York City, Carolina has studied filmmaking in New York Film Academy and she has worked as Director, Producer and Director’s Assistant for various projects. She is in charge of our Spanish-language content productions and has been part of the Audioworks team since 2017.
